Jefferson-Pilot Life Insurance Company was formed
with two companies, Jefferson Standard (1907) and Pilot Life
(1903), merged in 1987. These two companies brought together
over a century’s worth of combined experience. In 2004, Jefferson-Pilot sought to acquire Canadian life insurance company, The Canada Life Assurance Company, an indirect subsidiary of Great-West Lifeco Inc.
Jefferson Pilot operates in all 50 states, Washington DC,
and the Virgin Islands, offering superior insurance products
at the most competitive prices. Individual insurance products
are issued through a variety of Jefferson-Pilot subsidiary
companies, while group policies are sold through Jefferson-Pilot
Benefit Partners. Both of these insurance wings pride themselves
on providing products tailored to the specialized needs of
each and every client.
